Ballon d'Or 2017: Cristiano Ronaldo Lifts The Trophy

Cristiano Ronaldo is the winner of Ballon d'Or 2017. He received the award in a ceremony held over the Eiffel Tower. Earlier this year he won the 'FIFA Player of the Year' award. Its no big surprise that he was voted as the winner by an elite panel of journalists on behalf of France Football. The Ballon d'Or was presented by former Tottenham player David Ginola. Real Madrid legends such as Raul, Kaka and Ronaldo Naza'rio were present.

“I feel happy, its a great moment in my career. I have to thank my team-mates, Real Madrid and the rest of the people who helped me to be in great shape throughout the season” said the Portuguese superstar.

Ronaldo has won the prestigious award four times(2008,2013,2014,2016) in the past .This was his fifth Ballon d'Or. His performance has led both his club Real Madrid and country Portugal reach greater heights of success. His crucial goals in the Champions League and the La Liga have led Real Madrid to become the only team ever to win back-to-back Champions League finals and also claim the La Liga. Real Madrid won a total of 4 major trophies last season.

Rivals Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. finished second and third respectively. Ronaldo's rivalry with Messi has brought the best out of each other. This rivalry has led Ronaldo and Messi not let anyone else win this award for a decade now. This only proves their legendary status. This legendary rivalry will not be ending any time soon, so lets sit-back and enjoy watching two of the greatest footballers at work.

Maybe that is the reason that there are so many fan-fics and theories that exist still, even after the last chapter closed on us, ending the saga. J.K. Rowling gave us a bevy of characters to remember, for good or bad, through the magical world that she created, and amongst them, today we are going to talk about a few. We bring to you some of the fiercest female characters from the series - you obviously know them all, but they need to be talked and written about. Here we go... 1. Hermione Granger She was not just the brightest witch of her age, but also the bravest one. At the tender age of eleven, when one doesn't even know how to fathom a situation, she chose her path wisely, stuck by her friends in their quest to finish off the evillest wizard of all times, and displayed an extraordinary knack for not just spell-casting, but logic, bravery and knowledge. 2. Here are the 7 things we all have experienced. 1.Chai Song The familiar chant of “Chai-Coffee-Chai” is always associated with the Indian Railways. This has become their unofficial anthem. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari this song has remained universal. It shows that however diverse India maybe, chai always unites it. 2. The Railway Beat The railway beat of “Ta-dak-ta-dak” has always kept us company on those sleepless nights in the train. It first sounds irritating but soon you get lost in its melody before long you stop noticing it. 3. The Crowd Indian trains are the proof of India’s huge population. Indian trains are filled with people. You find people both in and on the train. When a train arrives into the station, this crowd moves like a swarm of bees descending on it. 4. T...
