Editors Choice: 5 Must Read Books

We come across thousands of books in our life time, we turn innumerable pages. We live every line, every bit of the story. But there are a few books that leave a mark on our hearts. Here is the list of 5 such books that have helped me in every way possible and I hope they’ll help you as well:

The Fault in our Stars.
John Green.

I bet all of us have heard about it. How love finds us when we least expect it to. This tragic story left me in tears and a sad smile on my face. It Talks about Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters and how they save each other from Cancer. John Green has succeeded in bringing the message to all the age groups that 'You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world...but you do have some say in who hurts you .I like my choices. I hope you like yours.'

Kafka On the Shore.
Haruki Murakami.

Some people are born with this unusual gift of binding people's mind and taking them into a world beyond their wildest imagination. A world where whatever you think is possible. Good or bad, we get to choose. Kafka On the shore pleases the reader as one flips through the pages. It is hard to put this book aside unless you solve the mystery of Nakata the lost cat tracker and Kafka looking for the library of his dream where he wishes to live his complete life in its corner. It takes you on a magical ride where fish fall from the sky, cats can talk and you can actually travel in time and save yourself.

It Ends with us.
Colleen Hoover.

A 'must read' for today's generation. One can learn a lot from this book It revolves around 3 lives and how deep an impact they have on each other. The book is about taking a stand for yourself. It talks about how we set a certain limit for people who can hurt us and if someone we love hurts us we further extend this limit. But is it the right thing to do? Is there an end to this? It sure does. It ends with us.

A Thousand Splendid Suns.
Khaled Hosseini.

I hope you've read it. If not. Do it. The story is set in Afghanistan during 1960s and early 2000s. It revolves around Mariam, an Afghan woman who has been wonderfully and tragically described. You will tremble as she does; you'll find yourself smiling when she does. The realistic approach by the author is the novels USP. Often it is the pain that brings two people closer and this book shows how. How one woman helps the other and how it grows into a strange but a pure bond of a mother and a daughter.

40 Rules of Love.
Elif Shafak

This book has answers to everything. It is the story of a world famous and a widely celebrated mystical poet Rumi and dervish Shams and their pure love for Allah and his people. It outlines the story where Shams meets Rumi and changes his perception of spirituality. The story grows into many characters and each character has something to teach. It teaches us the basic principles of Islam that are undeniably the basic principles of love. Each line is so precious that I highly recommend everyone to read this bliss.

Tips to Keep You Motivated While Writing a Book

At one point of time every reader has the urge to write a book. But many of them lose the fire due to lack of motivation. Well, here are some tips you can follow if you start writing. 1. Remember the reason why you are writing Why did you start your book in the first place? It helps to keep your eye on the prize. It may be to see your story finished or your non-fiction ideas flowing into a cohesive form in a proposal so you can approach a literary agent. If you're an author who's motivated by challenge — going for a tough goal and then nailing it — then finishing a book might be a no-brainer . If you're motivated by affinity, then your motivation is the connection to and bonding with other people. You might be better off framing your "prize" in terms o...
